Insulation: The Right Option?

Insulation has gained much popularity in our country in the past few years. The use of foam insulation and insulation panels Pakistan has increased. This is because the temperatures are increasing and so is the energy cost. Using air conditioners 24/7 can be really costly, and hence is not an option anymore. People who’s houses are under construction, are preferring getting their homes insulated to make sure that the summers are not as intolerable as they usually are.

One of the most common types of insulations that are being used in the new constructions is the spray foam insulation method, which seals all the cracks and areas, from where the excessive and unneeded hot air can enter the home. However everything has its pros and cons and so does spray foam insulation.
The spray foam insulation can reduce you energy cost up to 50 percent in a year. Yes its true! Spray foam insulation lower the amount of air as well as moisture from penetrating into your home, creating a much comfortable and cooler environment that does not require a lot of air-conditioning. Also a cooled place will remain cool for a longer period of time, due to reduced leakage of cool air. What more, the chance of the growth of mold and mildew is reduced? With a high R-value, it provides the best insulation of all materials.

However it has it cons as well. The spray foam insulation can prove to be very expensive. It is the most costly types of insulations of all. You can’t do it yourself, and you will definitely need a professional insulation installer to do the job for you. Furthermore, it will take longer for this insulation to be installed, and the whole procedure can produce a lot of mess due to its complexity.

It’s very important that you weigh out the advantages and disadvantages of the insulation material before you make your decision. Spray foam insulation is although the best kind of insulation available however, it is also very expensive.
